Board of Directors:
The Gallery of Gnani Arts was founded by Mr P. Gnana & Ms Vidhya Gnana Gouresan who are also members of the company’s Board of Directors. They are graduates from LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts (the foremost international tertiary arts institution in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region).
P. Gnana is a leading painter and sculptor in Singapore, whose art is in the collection of the President of the Republic of Singapore and the Singapore Art Museum of the National Heritage Board. He has 10 solo art exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions to his credit. Fourteen of his abstract works (2m X 1.5 m each) were commissioned in 2005 by Singapore’s Ascendas Pte Ltd for the International Tech Park in Chennai. In 1999, he set up an arts institution named Kalashram in South India, through which he educated and inspired more than 200 adult-students on the intricacies and appreciation of art.
Vidhya Gnana Gouresan curates contemporary art exhibitions, researches and writes about the visual arts. From 2000 to 2006, Vidhya has researched for the South Asia Department of the Asian Civilisations Museum, and has rsearched and curated for the SGH Museum and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. Her research interests revolve around Asian aesthetics, abstract art appreciation, art marketing, the temple art of the Chola Dynasty, significance of ritual objects, the rasa theory in Indian aesthetics and museum studies. In 2006 and 2007, she had contributed a monthly article to the Singapore Art Gallery Guide, under her column entitled ‘Aesthetic Awakening’. She was also invited to be the Guest Editor of the exclusive Indian Art issue (October 2010) of The Pocket Arts Guide in Singapore. She has edited and written for several catalogue publications including Collector’s Ego: Art by South Indian Masters (2006), The Ganesha Show 3: The Secular God in Art (2006) and OM: A Sculptural Dance by Odile Moulin (2006), Circumambulation: Selected Masterpieces of Contemporary South Indian Art (2007) and A Treasure Hunt: Contemporary Masterpieces From The Indian South (2008), POWER GANESHA: Show 5 (2010) and Parallel Play: A Travelling Collection of Art by P. Gnana (2010).

The Gallery of Gnani Arts has managed to foster and maintain a close and friendly relationship with the strong and steadfast community of senior and emerging artists, art writers and art critics in Singapore and South India (especially Tamil Nadu).
